Lately, I’ve been making an effort to try new things. Here’s something to think about: When Was The Last Time You Did Something For The First Time?
Last week, my daughter and I visited a charming little tea room in Pennsylvania. It was our first formal mother and daughter tea party.
I L-O-V-E tea! It’s so healthy, soothing, and tasty. A tea party is a simple and inexpensive way to spend quality time with your family.
So without further ado, let’s get into it.
First, we looked at the tea menu, which included all types of teas. I chose the lemon lavender rooibos, and my daughter chose the peach black tea.
My tea was a perfect blend of lemon, lavender, and vanilla. It was calming, soothing, and citrusy. Friends, I was in tea heaven!
Next, we ordered tea sandwiches because no tea party is complete without them. The sandwiches were cut into cute little triangles without the crust. Adorable and yummy, we almost ordered a second helping.
Then, we ordered our meals. I got an Apple and Brie Panini, and my daughter got The Old Fashioned. Finally, we ordered two chocolate chip scones. Everything was delicious.
As we poured the last cup of tea, my daughter said, “It looks like our tea party is almost over. We should do this again.”
Wait! Is this really happening?
My young adult daughter enjoyed our tea party and wants a repeat. Friends, I felt like a total rockstar. Just call me Mother of the Year.
There is something magical about tea that connects people. We talked nonstop for over an hour. It was an experience that we will cherish forever.
We had a great day and plan on going back soon.
Have you ever visited a tea room?
