The 2.0 version of me is all about getting out there and trying new things.
When Was The Last Time You Did Something For The First Time?
Earlier this week, my daughter and I visited a charming little tea room in Pennsylvania. Our first formal tea party.
I love tea. No, I’m OBSESSED with tea! It’s so healthy, soothing, and tasty.
I came across a pin on Pinterest about a Mother’s Day tea party. My interest was piqued. I found a tea room near me called A Taste of Britain. The reviews were great, so I called and made a morning reservation.
The tea room is such a delightful place. The menu included a large selection of teas. I chose the lemon lavender rooibos and my daughter chose the peach black tea.
My tea was a perfect blend of lemon, lavender, and vanilla. It was calming, soothing, and citrusy. I was in tea heaven!
We ordered tea sandwiches because no tea party is complete without them. The sandwiches were cut into cute little triangles with the crust cut off. They were adorable and yummy.
We ordered our meals. I got an Apple and Brie Panini, and my daughter got The Old Fashioned. We also ordered two chocolate chip scones. Everything was delicious.
My daughter and I poured our last cup of tea around the same time. Then my daughter said, “It looks like our tea party is almost over. We should do this again.”
Wait! Stop the Press!
My young adult daughter enjoyed our tea party and wants a repeat. Friends, I felt like a total rockstar. Just call me Mother of the Year.
If you have a teenager or young adult child, you know how big this is.
We talked for over an hour. . .nonstop. There is something magical about tea that connects people.
On the way out, we stopped at the gift shop. The gift shop has a wide variety of authentic British products. I saw a few unfamiliar tea brands that I plan on trying. I may be adding them to my list of favorites, which include Twinings, TAZO, and Adagio Teas.Shop Adagio Teas
My daughter and I had a wonderful experience and plan on going back soon.
